So guess what else March is? It's my one year blogiversary!!! And guess what I've decided to try in celebration? My first ever blog contest!
What could you win? Well, I have decided to put together a swap-style package of yarn and other knitting and non-knitting goodies worth at least $50! And I will be putting it together especially for the winner, based on their contest entry and other questions I may ask the winner once they are picked!
(In case you need further enticement and are wondering about my treating abilities, check out what The Knitting Contessa and A Gardening Knitter received from me in swaps last year! If you're not a knitter, I will still figure something out that you will hopefully like.)
Here's the deal. Post a comment to this entry voting for your favorite of my 2007 FOs and also post a link or description of your favorite of your own 2007 FOs, knitted or otherwise - it can be anything you made. Include your name, e-mail address and blog, flickr and/or ravelry info if you have them.
Or, post a comment to this entry with a link to where you have put this information plus a link to this entry in your own blog or anywhere online that is publicly accessible, and you will get two entries!
The deadline is Sunday March 9th at 9pm EST and the winner will be selected randomly from all entries and announced that night. I will also feature my favorite out of your FOs that you submit in a future blog entry.
So spread the word! I don't usually get many comments so you probably have a pretty good chance of winning... but on the other hand, the more the merrier. I would love to hear from everyone!
In summary, include:
- name (can be online name)
- e-mail address
- blog url if you have one
- flickr id if you have one
- ravelry username if you have one
- your vote for your favorite of my 2007 FOs
- link to or description of your favorite of your own FOs (knitted or otherwise - anything you made)
Happy blogiversary to me!

My favorite of your FO's:
Has to be the asymmetrical wrap. I have to say that when I saw you start that and went to look at the actual picture on the model, I really didn't like it at all. But when you presented your finished version, I really thought it looked fabulous on you. Why did I like it better on you than the model?? I really don't know...I can go back to both pictures now again and have the same reaction. Shows you had an eye for something I couldn't see...which is why I enjoy reading your blog.
Favorite of my own FO's.
Knitting would have to be Tuscany.

But I also have to include another favorite. 2007 was the year I started doing gourd art and have to include one of those. My Oak Leaf Gourd.

my favorite 2007 FO of my own:
Man, I have so much trouble picking favorites... but I've been getting a lot of great use out of my Mountain Sky Clapotis this winter, so I'll go with that. You can see it here:

My favourite of your 2007 FOs: Tough to choose, but probably the A-line tank.
My favourite of my FOs: The first pair of socks I ever knit. The yarn was absolutely awful - bright pink baby acrylic that my grandma had gotten for me at a garage sale - but the pattern (Thuja from Knitty) was nice and I've since knit socks that I actually wear. But the first ones are my favourite because they were the first project that really made me feel like a knitter.

My favorite of your FOs was the a-line tank. That color is absolutely gorgeous and it fit you fantastically.
One of my favorite FOs is my Tangled Yoke. Mostly I'm just proud that I finished it.

Hi! Happy blogoversary!
My name is Kim and you can find me on ravelry under ksknitchic.
My vote is for your composed mmitts. Very pretty!
My fav FO's would have to be a tie between my stafford bag and my Snoflake lace socks. Both were a first for me (felting hand-dyed wool and complicated lace in the round) and were challenging. They were so worth it! I learned new skills and the recipients of these FO's enjoyed them! You can see these on my ravelry page: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/ksknitchic.
I also linked to you on my blog: http://roavings.blogspot.com.

Wow, I can't believe you've only been knitting for a year. You definitely have a knack! I had a hard time picking just one favorite of your projects, but I'm a major sock addict so I'm going to have to go with the Tyrolean Stockings.
As for my own favorite project, I think it's the Embossed Leaves socks I did in a very autumn-y color. Love them.

Trying this again!! Maybe I only previewed and forgot to post? I don't know, anyway, here we go.
Since my mittens aren't there, I'd have to say that my favourite is Molly's cardie and hat with the daisy buttons, and the project I'm most proud of this year is playing Caliban in The Tempest, which was really fun to create. Pics are here: http://kymmz.livejournal.com/162463.html

When one door of happiness closes, another opens but often we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.
