The story:
Truth be told these really were a last minuted knitted gift. I bought the yarn while shopping for other things, thinking that they would make great fingerless gloves and a nice addition to the Kushu Kushu scarf for my sister, not that they would necessarily be worn together, but coordinating gifts are always good.
I started them at the airport and was almost done with the first one by the end of the 1.5 hour flight! I finished it later that day and knit the second one the next day.
Overall, both the pattern and the yarn were a great knit (I made the male version for my nephew a while back although I still haven't given them to him yet). After consulting with my sister, I reversed the pattern for the second one so that they were symmetrical - the pattern just has you make the second one exactly the same as the first.

Finished project:
The color of the yarn in reality is a little less bright than the in progress shots taken indoors, but not quite as washed out as the outdoor photos.
