Loathe as I am to bump the last entry from the top (I have to confess to not only being in love with my yarn, but being in love with my photos of the yarn!), I just have to share my little online excursion this morning.
First, in a moment of distraction, I did a search on flickr for manos wildflowers. Oh pretty pretty pretty. As you can see, it turns out that there is a pattern for a scarf that calls for this colorway, called My So Called Scarf. I particularly love this photo, which of course led me to look at Cindy's photostream, which led to me seeing delicious yarn like "sundae", which led to me finding Cindy's etsy store, Cherry Blossom Fibers and, well, I purchased this!
By the way, Cindy has a blog too, and her post on the scarf is here. Thus endeth the stalking!
I've decided to post my "stash stats" monthly at the beginning of each month, but now seems a good time to post a quick update. Numbers in parentheses are from April 11th.
- skeins purchased: 45 (28)
- skeins knit: 24.65 (15.9)
- yards purchased: 6290 (3903)
- yards knit: 3043 (2078)
- $ spent on yarn (not including shipping): $515.40 ($320.40)
- knitting since: 1/21/07
One last thing - typepad now allows you to create "pages" that are like blog entries but are non date specific. I've been wanting something like this so yay!!!
Hello there! Blogstalking sure is fun, huh? =)
Those are impressive #s for yarns purchased and knit! I can see it didn't take you too long to get obsessed, hee.
My So Called Scarf is a great pattern for the Wildflowers Manos - I would highly recommend it. I got several compliments on the scarf when I wore it, and also on the pic in Flickr.
